As part of our continuing expansion plans, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Workshop based Generator Engineer to work on our large fleet of generators, pumps, mobile lighting towers and associated equipment for 20Kva to 2000Kva.
Duties include
· Preparation of equipment for hire
· Fault diagnosis and repair of mechanical issues on generators, pumps and lighting towers.
· Identify parts required to facilitate effective repairs
· Carry out major repairs to minimise downtime and maximise fleet availability. Including engine repairs and major rebuilds.
· Load test on generators to ensure effectiveness of equipment.
Skills and Experience
Essential
· Possess a relevant qualification in Mechanical/ Diesel Fitting/ Plant Fitting
· Or, proven experience in a similar role repairing generators
Desirable
· Previous experience within a rental environment.
· Experience rebuilding engines. Familiar with Perkins, CAT and Cummins engines.
