ANAEROBIC DIGESTION PLANT
THE CHALLENGE
The client had no power on-site to allow the commissioning and testing of a new anaerobic digestion plant.

A combination of their remote location and the long lead time of a mains power connection meant that they needed to find another solution.

THE SOLUTION
Stuart Power provided a robust solution with two synchronised 400kVA generators working in 'In Load Demand' to minimise run time on both machines and help reduce emissions, fuel and cost. This solution provided the power required for commissioning and testing. The generators were then configured to run a single set during low load hours and provide resilience.

The anaerobic plant uses agricultural waste to produce gas which will feed into the National Grid, supporting the equivalent to the annual gas consumption of 10 average UK households every hour.
